About EzVCard

Why This Site Exists

I built EzVCard after spending months evaluating virtual card and cross-border payment platforms for a business I was running. Every comparison site I found was either out of date, too high-level to be useful, or clearly written by someone who had never opened one of these accounts. I kept notes for myself, and eventually those notes turned into this site.

The name comes from the original focus: virtual credit cards for businesses. The scope has broadened to cover the broader payment stack — multi-currency accounts, business banking, FX fees — but the goal is the same: give you the specific information you need to make a decision, not a summary you could find anywhere.

Editorial Independence

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up through them, we may earn a commission. This does not change our editorial conclusions — providers with affiliate programs receive the same scrutiny as those without, and we regularly recommend providers that offer no affiliate program at all (see our Mercury review, which links directly to their site).

We do not accept payment for favorable reviews, placement in comparison tables, or inclusion in 'best of' lists. The ranking criteria are documented on our Methodology page.

EzVCard is an independent publication covering virtual cards, cross-border payments, and business finance tools for startups, freelancers, and global operators.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help readers understand how business payment products differ in pricing, eligibility, controls, and operational fit. We focus on documentation-backed comparisons rather than promotional summaries.

Whether you are a digital marketer managing ad spend, a startup founder evaluating treasury tools, or a freelancer comparing payout options, our goal is to show the trade-offs clearly and point readers to the relevant provider materials.

What We Cover

  • Virtual Card Reviews: Analysis of provider fees, controls, limits, and business fit.
  • Comparison Guides: Side-by-side breakdowns that explain trade-offs and ideal use cases.
  • Operational Guides: Practical explainers for KYC, FX fees, multi-currency accounts, and finance stack choices.
  • Compliance Context: Notes on eligibility, region limits, banking partners, and verification requirements when providers disclose them.
  • Decision Support: Clear summaries that help readers know what to verify before signing up.

Policy-First Coverage

We prioritize providers that publish clear pricing, eligibility, compliance, and support documentation. Jurisdiction and availability can vary by market.

Transparent Reviews

We do not sell positive coverage. Reviews are built from provider pricing pages, help center documentation, regulatory disclosures, and editorial analysis.

Editorial Research

Each article is written for a defined reader use case and reviewed for clarity, sourcing, and consistency with official provider materials.

Review Schedule

We revisit articles when pricing, eligibility, banking partner, or spend-control details change.

Our Editorial Approach

Sarah Davies

Senior Financial Researcher

Sarah leads our editorial research, publishing independent comparisons of virtual card and payment providers. Our baseline sources are provider pricing pages, support articles, legal disclosures, product documentation, and public availability notes.

We document trade-offs, note where information is region-specific, and direct readers to our methodology and affiliate disclosure whenever editorial judgments are involved.

Our Editorial Standards

We use a simple editorial checklist to keep content useful and reviewable:

  • Research: Review provider pricing pages, product docs, policy pages, and public support resources.
  • Scope: Explain which business profile the article is for and call out country or entity restrictions when relevant.
  • Disclosure: Clearly separate affiliate monetization from editorial conclusions.
  • Updates: Revise articles when core pricing, eligibility, banking partner, or spend-control details change.
  • Corrections: Accept reader feedback and update material inaccuracies.

Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this website may be affiliate links. If you sign up for a service through one of them, EzVCard may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not determine our editorial conclusions. Read the full disclosure page for details.
